Heather, our host for the last week of 10 weeks competition has read my mind. On Monday, I just upload this photo below on my blogspot to represent my fav song.
Picture taken am Deich, Havenwelten, Bremerhaven, Germany Taken on June 25th, 2008 Canon EOS 400D - Canon Kitlens EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Focal Length 55.0mm - Manual Program - Daylight 1/400 at f/8.0 - ISO 100 - Flash off - Handheld Contrast adjustment and Labeled
I Wish You Were Here
I dig my toes into the sand The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket I lean against the wind, pretend that I am weightless And in this moment I am happy Happy
I wish you were here I wish you were here I wish you were here I wish you were... here
I lay my head onto the sand The sky resembles a back-lit canopy with holes punched in it I'm counting UFO's, I signal them with my lighter And in this moment I am happy Happy
I wish you were here I wish you were here I wish you were... here Wish you were here
The world's a rollercoaster And I am not strapped in Maybe I should hold with care But my hands are busy in the air Sayin
I wish you were here I wish you were... I wish you were here I wish you were here I wish you were... here Wish you were here
After missing 3 weeks of PPF, now I'm back. The reason I chose this photo not only because I miss her badly (she just left Germany to Indonesia yesterday, my tears are still falling down) but also because she is really a fast learner.
Her name is Sarah. Food photography is something new for her. She acknowledged it when seing me taking picture of the cake I baked. She found it interesting, that's why she asked me to let her try herself. Then I told her brief explanation on using the camera (where to push the shutter, to hold the camera and to see through viewfinder).
She is 5 years old. She wants to be a dentist in the future and a great photographer as well. Check her photos in this album: Like Auntie Like Niece.

My Mom (Ibu) loves flowers very much. When I took her around my neighborhood, she kept her eyes on beautiful flowers in our neighbor garden. She asked me to captured their beauty.
So, this album is dedicated to Ibu, the most important person in my life. Love you Ibu.

At first I set my white balance to auto (AWB), but then my friend (he is one of my tutor in photography) told me to change it into shade. He said if I used shade as the white balance, my sunset picture will turn orange, and it did!
Another new thing I got from the senior! Kudos!
All picture taken with my EOS 400D and the kitlens (EF-S 18-55mm). Shooting in manual program, ISO 100. No editing, only cropping on picture #7, #8 and #9.
Enjoy!
Pssttt... if you notice, one of them I used as my banner in my new multiply homepage.
Last Sunday, the Indonesian Student in Bremen had a BBQ party that took place at Werdersee (it is a river). Since it's summertime fun during springtime, so I'll cheat *LOL*
At the first photo you can see how some people enjoying the weather by sunbathing. I really wish that I had a good zoom lens ;)

I'm afraid of height. Being in 2224meter high made me feel shaky and my hands were wet. But seeing the magical view created by The Almighty, made me dare to get close to the barrier and push my shutter to capture it. Seeing the magical view of Algäu Alps at Nebelhorn Gipfel, I felt small in front of God, that I'm nothing without His blesses.
To see the beauty of Nebelhorn, please do visit this album.

Thanks for visiting mine and I'll visit yours as soon as I'm free (I have to work until Sunday).
Cherie, the host of this week PPF has chosen Safe as the theme. Interesting, right? At first I wanted to go around Bremen to hunt for something that can represent it. But too bad, the weather today is bad, no sun and the wind velocity is high. Better to stay at home, safe and sound :)
I always lose my mood when it's cold. It happened during my week-end trip to Berlin. It was cold and snow. It's supposed to be spring, but it's snow! My mood to take picture drop to zero. But since I had to suffer 6 hours to go to Berlin, I pushed myself to take some. You can see them in my album Berlin: Loosing My Mood
This is a traffic light that you can find only in former German Democratic Republic (GDR - East Germany) area. It called Ampelmännchen (little traffic light man). It looks cool for me, that's why I captured it. When the green Ampelmänchen is on, it means we are safe to cross the street.

Inspired by the beautiful words written by Heather, the host of this week PPF, I picked this photo as my entry for PPF: Fragile.
When I saw lovers hugging so passionately through the view finder along the Rhine River, I was touched. Directly I pushed my shutter to capture that lovely moment.
A relationship is fragile when we don't take a good care of it. Understanding each other and compromising are needed to manage the relation while trust and respect will make it stronger. Love is not only to take, but to give in return as well. Those things together with a passionate kiss and a warm hug, will keep it from broken.

In less than 2 hours, it will be Saturday here in Germany. Thanks God I still have time to submit my picture for this week PPF: Framed hosted by Tint.
I love to photograph the sky especially during the sunny day. I also love to capture braches especially during winter when they lost their leaves. So on a cold sunny day, when I was feeling blue, I grabbed my camera and went to Rhododendron Park in Bremen to transfer the negative energy into something beautiful. I captured the sky and framed it with the branches.

Thanks Tint for the theme. And have a wonderful weekend mates!
Actually I want to stick with the name of this event: Picture Perfect Friday by posting my entry every Friday. But on Satudary, I will move to Bremen.. that's why, tomorrow (Friday) I'll be busy on those moving things. I decided to post my entry today.
The picture below was taken in Stuttgart last year during Weichnachtmark (Christmast Market). At that day. I was hoping to see the stars in the sky as the sun was shining during the day. But until I went home, the sky was empty. No stars at all, only the moon was there facing the night alone.
I've labelled my picture with my name, if it's considered as editing ;)

This photo below might not be perfect enough for the theme, but I like it the most from some of my photos that can represent movement as this week theme of PPF.
I love how Wilda (the model in red) posed seeing the performance of the two street musicians. I love how the musician's hands moved on the drum. I love how people moved as they walked in the city of Hamburg.

These photos were taken on the way to Brussels on 15.02.08. I didn't took lots of photos due to the weather. It was pretty cold though the sun was shiny.
Note: None of these photos below were taken in Brussels ;)
Location: Mc Donald - Osnabrück - DE Dom - Rhine River - Cologne - DE
shadow: 1. a dark figure or image cast on the ground or some surface by a body intercepting light. 2. shade or comparative darkness, as in an area. 3. shadows, darkness, esp. that coming after sunset. etc (read more here).
So for this week Picture Perfect: Shadow, I will post my entries according to definition number one (1) and (3). Yup, I will cheat this time by submitting 2 photos :-D

The second photo below was taken last week when Bremerhaven was sunny. It's my very first sunset picture. In this picture, I implemented what I read about bracketing and used the facility that my camera give: autobracketing. To read more story about my first sunset picture, please visit my album: Autobracketing: Sunset in Bremerhaven.
